Our Personal Training Process
Step 1 - Success Session
To determine if personal training at Sculpt Fitness is right for you, you’ll have a quick 15-minute chat with a coach.
We’ll review your health and exercise history, schedule, goals, and any challenges that you need help overcoming.
Step 2 - INTRO Session
If we have a personal trainer that fits your needs, we’ll schedule a free intro session where you will complete a 30-40 minute physical fitness assessment.
During the assessment you will receive the guidance to execute 5 foundational resistance-based exercises using proper form and technique.
Based on your performance, your personal trainer may ask you to complete additional exercises for further evaluation. This evaluation will be used to develop your customized program.
Step 3 - Onboarding
After the intro session, we’ll review your performance and goals together to develop a plan that works best for you.
If you decide to move forward with personal training, we will complete onboarding at this time. Onboarding takes about 15 minutes including measurements, nutrition coaching materials, and a free members workout shirt.

COACH KAELYN, CPT-NASM
Growing up, I had a strong passion for soccer. Unfortunately, my competitive years came to an end due to an injury. After going through rehabilitative therapy, I had to look for another form of exercise. That’s when I grew an interest in resistance training.
Now, not only is it my goal to teach others how to exercise at a gym, but I also want to stress how important it is. To me, strength training is about joint health, longevity, and growth. With my Kinesiology undergrad degree from CSULB, background in personal training, and experience working in a physical therapy clinical setting, I want to share my knowledge with others.
I truly believe that fitness is for everyone, and we all should enter a space where we can work together as a unit.

As a trainer I’m committed to excellence and furthering my coaching abilities through continued educational pursuits and hands-on workshops to practically apply the best training methods. Currently, I’m completing a BS in Kinesiology at CSU Dominguez Hills.

COACH MARIO, CPT-ISSA
After nearly a decade of personal training, I’m still in awe of the transformative power of fitness. My journey began with a volunteer role at a church, where I helped former substance users prioritize their health. Witnessing their progress solidified my passion for fitness and its ability to create positive change.
Today, I specialize in strength and conditioning with a focus on sports performance and corrective exercise. As an active competitive athlete in weightlifting and sports competitions, I use my personal experiences to fine-tune my training methods. This firsthand knowledge helps me understand the ups and downs of the fitness journey, allowing me to better support and guide my clients. Whether you're looking to boost your strength, enhance your performance, or shed body fat, I'm here to help you become fitter, stronger, and more confident.

What is better 30 or 45 minute Personal training sessions?
Choosing between a 30 or 45 minute session depends on your needs, physical fitness, schedule, and budget. The majority of our members train for 45 minutes, but there is no set rule. You may elect for 30 minute sessions if you need less 1-1 time or a quick assessment to evaluate training progress.
How many personal training sessions do I need?
As general guidance, we recommend clients new to exercising start with 2 to 3 sessions per week. This enables you to build a strong foundation and learn to execute the exercises properly. You can adjust this frequency over time whether you need more training volume or less 1-1 help and accountability.
How Long Should I have a Personal Trainer?
You should plan to work with a personal trainer for at least 3 to 6 months. It takes time to build a training foundation. A personal trainer will help you feel confident in the gym and over time teach you how to scale your training efforts to overcome plateaus and continue experiencing progress.
How soon will I see results from a personal trainer?
In the first few weeks you will notice improvements to your quality of life like better sleep and more energy. In 4-6 weeks you will start to feel stronger, lose a few inches or feel a difference in your clothes. By 3 months there will be a noticeable difference between before and after photos and a significant change in weight if that’s your goal. For those seeking weight loss, plan to lose 1-2lbs a week. Losing weight gradually helps ensure the weight lost is fat and not muscle tissue.
How will we measure my progress?
We have few different ways to take measurements and evaluate progress. With our InBody Scanner we will track your weight, body fat percentage, and changes in lean muscle tissue. We also use tape measurements, before/after photos, and track changes in strength.
Does Personal Training come with Nutrition AdviCe?
Yes! The way we provide our nutrition guidance is a little different from other facilities too. Rather than give you a generic nutrition guide, we provide personalized nutrition coaching with a degreed nutritionist to help you find the most important practical changes you can make within your current diet to see better results.
